Beautiful deck self-published by Kaos, Moutarde, Proverbe, Provox for “KAOS Revue No. 4.” I have been unable to learn anything about this firm, but I assume that it was a design firm in Levallois-Perret, France that had an annual event displaying certain artwork. The designs of this deck are by Jean-Blaise Evequoz, a Swiss artist who won a bronze medal for fencing in the 1976 Olympics. The cards can be used in the normal way to play card games, but according to the box, these cards can also be used to play games based upon the words that appear on each card. The box suggests that the scoring can be based upon sentences created by the words as they are played.
The deck has 52 suited cards, plus 2 Jokers, plus an additional card whose face is identical to the backs of all the cards. The cards are bridge size, measuring 89mm x 57mm, and come in the original box.
The cards are in excellent condition, “as new” or very nearly so. The box is in very good condition, structurally sound and relatively clean, but with wear, especially on the top flap.
Thanks for visiting.
