Beautiful deck made by Standard Playing Card Co. for Philip Morris to advertise "English Ovals" cigarettes. The Ace of Spades and Joker are unique to this deck. The Ace of Spades bears USPC #C1902, and there is a bridge scoring card with rules as of April 1, 1935, and so I have dated the cards c.1941. The box has the Philip Morris logo, and the backs of the cards have an American Eagle.

The deck has 52 cards, including an “English Ovals” Ace of Spades, plus a delightful “English Ovals” Joker, plus the bridge scoring card noted. The cards are bridge size, measuring 89mm x 58mm, with silver gilt around. They come in the original box.

The cards are in exceptional condition, “as new” or very nearly so, with 100% of the silver gilt intact. The box is in excellent condition, remarkably clean with very minor shelf wear.

Thanks for visiting.
