Wonderful deck made by Grimaud c.1994, celebrating early coins from around the world. The Aces, Jokers and court cards each feature an early corner. In addition, the pips on cards 2 through 10 are coins, with each suit featuring a different coin. Bruno Collin is identified as a “collaborator,” and I assume this means that he helped select the coins and contributed to the paper insert that describes the deck and the coins.

The deck has 52 suited cards, plus 2 Jokers, plus an extra card that announces the deck. As noted, the cards are accompanied by a paper insert that describes the coins shown. The cards are wide, measuring 88mm x 63mm, and come in the original box.

The cards and box are in excellent condition, “as new” or very nearly so.

Thanks for visiting.
