Beautiful and very early deck made by Comp. Paulist de Papeis e Artes Graficas of Brazil (“COPAG”). COPAG first made cards in 1918, and the tax stamp on the box indicates that this deck was made during the period 1923-1935. The court cards are obviously derived from Wüst House Pattern, Type 3. The cards are beautifully made.
The deck has 52 suited cards, plus 1 Joker. The cards are slightly small bridge size, measuring 86mm x 56mm, and come it the original box.
The cards are in excellent lightly used condition. They have been handled, and there is edge wear, but the cards are otherwise without issues. The box is in good, perhaps very good, condition, with overall wear and light soiling; if it ever had top side flaps, they are missing now.
