Two double deck sets of playing cards featuring the artwork of Charles Fazzino, prominent American pop artist known for his silkscreen serigraphs, done in a 3D pop art style. One set is called “Manhatan, Martinis and Moonlight” (“Manhattan”) and shows a bar scene with Tango dancing. The second set is called “Straight Flush Call My Bluff” (“Straight Fllush”), and shows a poker tournament. The cards were nicely made in China, maker unknown. Each double deck set is separately available for $15. Both sets are for sale for $25.
The Manhattan set is sealed inside its box. However, the cellophane on the Straight Flush set has been breached and the cards can be inspected. The face of each card has Fazzino’s signature and indices and suit symbols – no court illustrations, and no pips. I do not know if the faces of the Manhattan cards are the same.
Each of the Straight Flush decks – and presumably each of the Manhattan decks – has 52 suited cards, plus 2 Jokers. The cards are wide, measuring 89mm x 62mm. Each deck comes in its own box, and the two decks come in the larger box.
The Manhattan decks are mint and sealed in the large box. The cards of the Straight Flush decks are mint; the deck boxes and larger box are “as new.”
