Mint, sealed deck of delightful cards made by Grimaud c.1983, "les géants d'un mythe,"featuring original designs by François Poulain. The court cards are illustrations of famous movie stars, the Jokers show a film director, and the Aces feature film-related images dating to the 1980s (camera, megaphone, etc.). Similarly, the pips on the pip cards (but not the suit symbols themselves) are designs unique to these cards, taken from film related imagery. The faces of these cards can be seen at the World Web Playing Card Museum (WWPCM #00085).
The deck has 52 cards, plus 2 Jokers, plus a card announcing the deck. The cards are wide, measuring 88mm x 63mm, and come in the original box.
The cards are mint and sealed. The box is “as new.”
