Most of the writing on these cards is in Japanese, and there may be information available to those that can read Japanese that I am missing.
This beautiful souvenir deck has the words “Blue Sky” and “Tōhoku” with an illustration of a steam locomotive on the backs of the cards, and with photographs of scenery and daily life on the faces of the cards; several of the photographs show a steam locomotive. The Jokers have illustrations of 2 figures “driving” a teapot and inside the teapot is a photograph of a more recent electric locomotive. I am uncertain of the date, but judging from the scenes of everyday life, I believe that they date no later than the decade of the 1990s; they may date much earlier.
The deck has 52 cards plus the 2 Jokers noted. The cards are square, measuring 80mm x 80mm. There is no box.
The cards are “as new.”
