A book edited by Umberto Zanasi and published by Zanasi Editore, c.1966, titled “Il Sognasoldi,” and subtitled, “quando la fortuna arriva dormendo” (“when luck comes sleeping”), that describes and illustrates an old fortune telling game that used cards. The text is in Italian. It features letterpress text on rough brown paper, interspersed with vibrant color illustrations on smooth black paper. There is a metallic gold and silver image on the cover. This particular copy of the book was a gift from Vito Arienti to Stuart Kaplan and/or U.S. Games Systems.
The book measures 24.5cm x 23.3cm, and has 72 pages. The covers are a bit splayed from age and one spine edge is bumped. Otherwise, the book is in excellent condition, with the original plastic dust jacket that has protected it and kept the cover image clean.
