Mint, sealed double deck of pin-up cards made by Arrco for Esquire, featuring the designs of well-known pin-up artist Al Moore. The Esquire decks were a series of decks made by Arrco during the years 1941-1948. Until 1947, the Esquire decks featured designs by Vargas. These decks from 1947 were the first with Al Moore designs, as Al Moore replaced Vargas in that year.
I assume that each deck has 52 cards, plus at least 1 of the distinctive Esquire jokers (seen through the wrapper). There may be additional special insert cards. The cards are bridge size, measuring 87mm x 58mm, with gold gilt around. They come in the original Esquire box.
The cards are mint and still sealed in the wrappers, although the wrapper on one of the decks has been breached. The box is “as new.”
There are twin decks of these cards also for sale in this shop (T00002704).
