Superb and rare deck of playing cards apparently made during the presidential campaign of 1960 for the Kennedy/Johnson ticket, with simple embossed silhouettes of John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson with their names on the card backs. The backs do not say that they are President and Vice President, which is why I believe this deck was published during the year of the 1960 election.
The deck has 52 suited cards, plus 2 Jokers. All cards are standard Arrco cards of that period. The cards are bridge size, measuring 90mm x 58mm, with gold gilt around. There is no box.
The cards are in excellent condition, with almost all gold gilt intact. Because there is no box, the cards are not perfect, but I do not think they have ever been shuffled. One of the Jokers, has an “indentation” about the size of the tip of a ball point pen, but it does not break through to the other side; it is hard to see, but you can feel it and I have tried to show it on the final photo.
Thanks for visiting.
