Two decks of cards with a diet theme. Each is available separately for $15; both are for sale for $30. Each is described below.
• A charming deck made by Waddington c.1984 for Figure Dynamics, Ltd., called, “Pack of Diets.” Each card has what is claimed to be a 1200-calorie diet on it. The deck has 52 suited cards, plus 2 Jokers, plus an additional card with writing front and back. The cards are bridge size, and come in the original box. The cards are “as new.” The box is in excellent condition – very clean, but with minor shelf wear, especially at the edges.
• A delightful deck of cards made by Arrco c.1969 for Smith, Kline & French Laboratories, called, “Eska-Deck,” featuring illustrations of foods with their respective calorie counts on each card, except the Aces. The foods (and calories) are the same for each suit. Thus there are 12 foods shown on the suited cards, and a 13th food on the Jokers. The Aces are special S,K&F Aces, but do not show foods. The deck has 52 cards, plus 2 Jokers. The cards are bridge size, measuring 89mm x 58mm, and come in an Eska-Deck box; however, the box is for an Eska-Deck with green backs, and this deck has yellow/gold backs. The cards are in excellent lightly used condition. The box is in very good condition, with some discoloration on the top flap and sample card and with slight shelf wear.
