Excellent early set of standard Paris pattern cards, made c.1890s, with a watermark and what I believe is stencil coloration. I do not know which watermark is on the paper used, as it is very faint, and I am not familiar enough with watermarks to make it out. It may be a wreath. I have attempted in one of the pictures to show it. The backs are plain pink, and there are no indices, but the Ace of Clubs has the 1890 tax stamp.
The deck is complete at 52 cards. The cards are slightly small, measuring 83mm x 53mm, with gold gilt at the corners. There is no box.
The cards are in excellent condition, except that they are bowed from side to side.
Thanks for visiting.
