Mint, sealed set of the cards designed by famous 20th century composer, Arnold Schoenberg in 1910, in an edition made by Piatnik c.1982. According to the World of Playing Cards website, the set was published by Belmont Music Publishers, Schoenberg’s music publisher. The cards are accompanied by a book that describes the cards, with a preface by Nuria Schoenberg-Nono, Schoenberg’s daughter and widow of avant-garde composer Luigi Nono. The set here for sale is mint and sealed in the box, but images of the faces of the cards can be seen at the World Web Playing Card Museum (WWPCM #02103) and at the World of Playing Cards website.
According to the WWPCM, the set has 52 suited cards. The cards are a large, irregular shape, measuring 105mm x 55mm, and they come in the original box.
The cards and box are mint and sealed, as is the book inside.
