Mint, sealed deck of cards made by Carta Mundi, and first published in 1994 by R. Somerville, featuring wonderful original designs by Don Jack. A year later it would be published by U.S. Games Systems, Inc., but this deck is the original edition published by Somerville. The Aces, court cards and Jokers depict characters from famous G&S operettas, including the Mikado, the Pirates of the Penzance, The Yeoman of the Guard, and H.M.S. Pinafore, among others. The deck here for sale is mint and sealed, but the faces of the cards, including Don Jack's original artwork, can be seen at the World Web Playing Card Museum (WWPCM #06761). The backs of the cards are portraits (conceivably photographs) of the famous team, W.S. Gilbert and Sir Arthur Sullivan.
My understanding is that the deck has 52 cards, plus 2 Jokers; I do not know if there are any extra cards. The cards are bridge size, measuring 89mm x 58mm, and come in the original box.
The cards and box are mint and sealed.
