Mint set of souvenir cards made in the 1950s by Clemente Jacques of Mexico, featuring photographs of cultural artifacts and places of scenic and historical interest on each card. The red suits have a different background tint to the photos than the black suits.
The World Web Playing Card Museum and the World of Playing Cards website both indicate that a complete set of these cards has 4 Jokers, but this set has the usual 2 Jokers in addition to the 52 suited cards. It is not absolutely clear to me that all 4 Jokers are included in every deck, but there are only 2 in this one. The cards are wide, measuring 88mm x 63mm, and come in the original box.
The cards are mint, as if just out of a wrapper. The box is in excellent condition, except that the embossing on the velvet covered lid is faded.
Thanks for visiting.
