Mint, sealed (cards, not box) double deck set of patience size cards made by the State Printing Works of Russia. If I am interpreting what is written on the box correctly, these cards were made in 1982, although the World Web Playing Card Museum dates this patience size edition c.1976 (WWPCM #04411/03), and other information on the box suggests a date of 1990. According to the WWPCM, the court cards of these decks are not traditional Russian courts, but instead are a pattern called “Rococo” that has instead a European look. This pattern, albeit on standard size cards, is also shown in Fournier. (Fournier, Playing Cards, Russia 50). I could confirm this by breaking the wrapper, but am unwilling to do so.
I assume that each deck has 52 cards, plus 2 Jokers. The cards are patience size, measuring 69mm x 45mm, and they come in the original box.
As noted, the cards are mint and sealed. The box is in excellent condition, with minor shelf wear.
