Delightful deck self-published by Elaine Lewis, titled “Noah’s Ark,” featuring her original designs. As with most of Ms. Lewis’ decks, it was issued in a limited edition, and this deck is no. 24 of only 50. As might be expected from the title, this deck has fanciful illustrations of ice cream and other ice deserts on the Aces, Jokers, extra card and court cards.

The World Web Playing Card Museum has this description of how Ms. Lewis works:

“This artist is making handmade decks with 20-50 copies. After several months of design work, she draws the cards in outline at 150% size, in designer's pen and black ink, and then has the complete set printed at final size onto sheets of white card. Elaine hand colours each card and cuts out the packs as required.”

The deck has 52 cards, plus what I interpret to be 2 Jokers and an extra card. The number of the deck (i.e., within the limited edition of 50) can be seen at one corner on the box.. The cards are large and wide, measuring 95mm x 67mm and come in the original box.

The cards and box are mint.

Thanks for visiting.
