A wonderful card game titled, “Bible Characters,” published by F.G. Decker and O.F. Decker. The cards are copyrighted 1889, and I have dated the game the same. The 75 cards contain questions – 5 per card, 375 total questions – and the answer to each question is the name that appears at the top of the card. If the game once had instructions on how to play, they have gone missing.
The game has 75 cards, as noted. The packaging describes this as the “Small Edition,” and the cards are in fact rather small, measuring approximately 78mm x 56mm – approximate because the cards were cut by hand. The cards have square corners and are on thick stock with geometric cross-hatching on the backs. They come in the original packaging – an orange cardboard is wrapped around the cards, and the orange cardboard then slides into a light blue sleeve.
The cards are in excellent used condition. There is wear to the edges, but otherwise they are clean and extremely well preserved. The packaging – both the orange cardboard wrap, and the blue sleeve – are quite worn; their condition is no better than good, if that.
Thanks for visiting.
