Excellent double deck of Fournier's beautiful and interesting "Chinese Costumes" playing cards, made c.1984, and published by U.S. Games Systems, with designs "from printed sources in The Henry Francis du Pont Winterthur Museum," a country estate in the Brandywine Valley formerly owned and used by the Du Pont family.
The decks each consist of 55 cards, as follows: (i) the deck with black backs has 52 cards, plus 2 Jokers, plus an insert card that begins to describe the deck; and (ii) the deck with the red backs has 52 cards, plus 1 Joker, plus 2 insert cards that continue and finish the description of the deck. The cards are bridge size, measuring 89mm x 57mm, and come in the original box. The box has a "tray" with a sleeve.
The cards are in excellent condition, very lightly used. The box is in very good condition, with wear to the sleeve at one end.
There is also a mint, sealed double deck of these cards for sale in this shop (T00002578).
