Rare, somewhat unusual and nicely designed deck of playing cards, apparently made in a limited edition of 60 sets of the 32-card deck (along with 10 sets of the 52-card decks) for a driving school in Holland called “Pia Pia.” The cards are made of a very thick plastic substance (or perhaps even linoleum?) and are obviously cut by hand, as they have slight differences in size. This 32-card deck is thicker than a standard 52-card deck. According to the World Web Playing Card Museum the cards were designed by Jose Verwer and Netty Schipper and made/published by “Joni.” I have not been able to learn anything about these artists or this entity, and I did not see mention of either on the cards themselves.
The deck has 32 cards (Ace, plus 7-K in all 4 suits), plus 2 Jokers. The cards are slightly large and wide, approximately 91mm x 62mm – approximate because cut by hand. There is no box.
The cards are "as new."
Thanks for visiting.
