Rare pin-up deck made by Hudson Industries of Australia for Kayser, the lingerie/hosiery manufacturer. The World Wide Playing Card Museum indicates that the Ace of Spades used in this deck was made by Hudson beginning in 1953, and in 1953 Julius Kayser & Co. of New York sold its Australian subsidiary to Bondor, Ltd., a U.K. company. I tend to think that this deck might have been made at or about the time of this change of ownership. But the cards may date slightly later.
The deck has 52 cards, plus a standard Hudson Joker. The cards are bridge size, measuring 89mm x 58mm. There is no box.
The cards are in very good lightly used condition, with edge wear and evidence of handling. There is a crease on the 6 of Spades (separately pictured); otherwise, the cards are without issues.
