Mint set of cards made by Piatnik c.1919-1924, still sealed in its wrapper, featuring court cards in what I am virtually certain is the Viennese Large Crown Pattern. There is also an open deck of these cards for sale in this shop (T0000625). I do not know if the backs of this wrapped deck are the same as those of the open deck, but assume that otherwise the cards of this wrapped deck are the same.
The deck is a skat deck, complete at 32 cards (Ace, and 7 through King); the open deck also has a card that is blank on both sides, and this deck may also have one too. The cards are French suited, without indices and with rounded corners; they are large, measuring 110mm by 66mm. As noted, the cards come in the original wrapper which still has a U.S. tax stamp on the band of the wrapper, in addition to the Austrian stamp on the Ace of Hearts.
The cards are still sealed in the wrapper, and the wrapper is in very good condition.
