Delightful set of skat cards made by ASS c.1977 for Schwabish Hall, the large German savings and loan, featuring wonderful amusing designs by Alex Kardas. The court cards all have a reference to money – spending, gambling, investing, saving. Fournier shows this deck, but states that it is a publicity deck for the "Association of Constructors and Reservoirs" and dates it to 1969. It is possible that the Fournier listing is for an earlier printing, and that these designs were used, in whole or in part, for several advertising decks.
The deck has the usual 32 skat cards, plus an insert card advertising Schwabisch Hall. The cards are bridge size, measuring90mm x 59mm. They come in the original soft plastic Schwabisch Hall pouch.
The cards are in excellent condition, "as new" or very nearly so. The pouch is also in excellent condition.
