Mint, sealed (cards, not boxes) twin decks of maritime cards made by Waddington c.1955 for Manchester Liners. One deck has blue backs; one deck red. The date given for the cards is based upon the Canadian tax stamps on the boxes (i.e., 20¢ Canadian). The backs of the cards reference the routes that the ships of Manchester Liners took during this time from Manchester to Canada and the United States.
As noted each deck is sealed, but I assume that each deck has at least 52 cards, plus 1 Joker, since a standard Waddington's joker is visible through the wrap paper. The cards are bridge size, measuring 89mm x 58mm, and each deck is in an original Waddington's "All British" box.
As noted, the cards are mint and sealed. The boxes are in excellent condition, clean with only modest shelf wear.
Thanks for visiting.
