Mint deck of cards made by Coeur in 1967, titled "Essay" in the literature. It features the designs of German graphic artist and stamp designer Hannelore Heise, and the Fournier and WWPCM entries both make reference to designs "to obtain the scholastic diploma"; it may be that the title of the deck is a reference to this accomplishment.
The deck has 52 cards, plus 3 Jokers. The cards are bridge size, measuring 88mm x 58mm. There is no box.
The cards are mint, removed from an already damaged wrapper to be photographed for this listing.
