Delightful skat deck made by Coeur c.1986, titled "Figürliche Plastiken ("Figured Sculptures"), featuring charming original designs on the Aces and court cards by Marianne Maeder that illustrate sculptures found in or around the State buildings of what was then East Berlin in East Germany. Each illustration contains information about the sculpture featured. The court cards and Aces are double ended, and while the two sides depict the same sculpture, the two sides are not identical. Frequently, one side – but not the other – depicts a child interacting with the sculpture – a particularly nice feature – and in all instances there is some difference, however slight, between the two sides.
The deck has 32 cards, plus 1 extra card announcing the deck. The cards are bridge size, measuring 88mm x 58mm, and are housed in the original Coeur plastic box.
The cards are "as new"; the box is slightly clouded in places, but otherwise without issues.
