Excellent double deck of "Golf" playing cards, but without the joker in either deck, made by American Playing Card Company of Kalamazoo, one of the Longley companies, c.1895, with terrific backs. As Dawson/Hochman state in the Encyclopedia: "Even if the box and Joker are missing, the backs, of which there were many, will identify this brand." Here the backs show 4 golf clubs and 3 old style golf balls.
As noted, each deck has 52 cards, but no joker. The cards are wide, measuring 88mm x 64mm. There is no box.
The decks are relatively clean and in excellent used condition. The cards shown are representative of the condition of the decks as a whole.
There is also a single deck of the "Golf" cards for sale in this shop, with different backs (T00002143).
