Very attractive skat deck made by Rheinberger of Bad Durkheim, Germany c.1939, with court cards depicting men and women from 4 regions of Germany in traditional dress, and with scenic Aces depicting traditional farmhouses in those regions. I do not know if the farmhouses are specific or generic properties.

The deck is complete at 32 cards (Ace and 7-K in each suit). The cards are slightly wide, measuring 90mm x 61mm. They came to me in a lightweight plastic box that I am virtually certain is not original; the deck will travel to the buyer in that box.

The cards are in excellent, lightly used condition. They have been handled and have modest edge wear and there is a very light vertical stain – what appears to be red ink – running vertically on the 10 of Hearts, but on balance the cards are quite clean.

There is another deck of these cards for sale in this shop, slightly less expensive in a condition not quite as good (T00002240)

Thanks for visiting.
