Excellent deck of interesting cards made by Brown & Bigelow c.1952 for the Amalgamated Meat Cutters and Butcher Workmen of North America, a division of the American Federation of Labor, featuring photographs and brief biographies on the 52 suit cards of the leading figures in the American labor movement. The backs show an artist’s rendering of the Amalgamated Meat Cutters building in Chicago, and the Jokers are illustrations / slogans.

There are 52 cards, plus 2 Jokers (“Wild Cards”). The cards are wide, measuring 89mm x 63mm, in the original box.

The cards are “as new,” and the box is very nearly so, without issues of any kind.
