Attractive red celluloid auction bridge set with all original components dating c.1929. Included are the following: a mint deck of Standard Playing Card Co. “Aviator” playing cards that can be reliably dated c.1929, with the wrapper intact but loose, enabling the Joker (somewhat rare, I think) and Ace of Spades (generic) to be inspected without disturbing the deck; a simple playing card holder for the cards; an Auction Bridge score pad with covers; a trump indicator; 4 table numbers; an Eagle pencil with the number 630. They are housed in the original box.
The entire set is “as new,” except for the box. The box is in no better than fair condition – with split corners to the lid and generally vulnerable. I also note one spot on the red front cover of the score pad where it appears a tag was removed.
