Great deck of cards for Roy Orbison fans. I have assumed that these cards were made c.1988, at or shortly after the time of the acclaimed television special, “Roy Orbison and Friends: A Black and White Night.” The image of Orbison on the back of the cards is the same image used for the DVD and CD of the televised concert. However, the DVD and the CD of the concert have been reissued several times in the ensuing decades, and it is possible that the cards were published in connection with a reissue.
The deck has 52 cards, plus 2 Jokers. I do not know the maker, and the Jokers and Ace of Spades are unfamiliar to me. If forced to guess, I would guess they were made in Asia, but please note that they are well made. They are poker size, measuring 89mm x 64mm, and come in a clear plastic box which is probably original.
The cards and plastic box are “as new.”
Thanks for visiting.
