Educational “Improved Game of Flags” made by Parker Bros. c.1915, in the original box. The game is essentially a “Go Fish” type of game (“Happy Families” in the U.K., “Quartette” in Germany) in which the object is to make sets of 4 cards (i.e., a “family”). Here the cards are flags of the world, grouped in logical sets of 4.
The game has all of its cards – 13 sets of 4. In addition there are a number of round yellow counters, made of paper, and a very short pamphlet describing the rules for the game. Different point values are awarded for sets of 4 cards, with early made and late made sets counting for more, and the counters are awarded for sets. I am not certain that the game has its full number of counters, but it may; certainly there are quite a few of them.
Three of the cards (separately pictured) have creases. Otherwise, the cards are in excellent condition. The pamphlet is in very good condition, although there is handwriting at the bottom of the last page. The box is also in very good condition; there is “buckling” on the lid, but it is otherwise without issues.
