Wonderful enfantine style dress set for an early French fashion doll like Huret or Blamploix. It is in so called enfantine style depicting a younger child and not an adult female. The skirts are calf length and not floor length.
Set is made of purple-white checkered cotton and it contains a dress with low off shoulder round neck, short split sleeves. It comes with a short, sleeveless bolero jacket with rounded edges and round neck line and a lovely almost sheer batiste sleeveless blouse or chemise with the most incredible tiny tucks and embroidery.
Bodice and bolero are lined with a cotton or silk gauze. Dress and bolero are fully decorated with purple fringe and tiny white glass beads. The set is completely hand sewn.
The set is in good condition with no tears or holes with some minor soiling due to age
Dress closes with 2 metal hooks and bars in the back. Bolero has no closure and the blouse has a draw string on the neck only.
Since I don't have the appropriate antique body for it I have the dress shown on a repro body from Gildebrief that is just over 12" or 31 cm tall without a bisque shoulder plate. The doll for the dress would probably be around 16" or 41 cm.
Skirt length: just over 8" or 21.5 cm waist measured flat: just under 4" or 10 cm
Doll trunk and other dresses in the last picture are NOT included in this sale, nor is the body.
