1970s modernist Trifari necklace is beautifully made, with molded lucite or thermoplastic faux ivory and goldtone metal centerpiece (the metal has surface texture simulating a hand-hammered finish). The centerpiece has riveted construction, similar to pieces designed by Kunio Matsumoto. This piece does not have his mark but could have been designed by him before Trifari awarded that privilege to their top designers.
Flexible goldtone metal omega link chain circles around the neck, secured with a foldover clasp. 17 1/4" length. Original TRIFARI tag is still attached to the clasp end; the Trifari logo also appears on the clasp and back of centerpiece. Like-new condition.
