Wow! doesn't begin to describe this incredible little piece of art, a brooch with such incredible colors and workmanship -- though unsigned, it is clearly a Schreiner piece. The centerpiece is set with inverted fuschia, olivine chatons and lapis blue colored navettes in an openwork pattern of little floral clusters, with inverted aquamarine blue square-cut stones framing each corner. Rounded-corner rectangular glass pieces frame the piece, angling downward, the mottled blue art glass resembling lapis lazuli. At the corners, between the rectangular pieces, is another floral clusters of fuschias and greens. 2 1/2 x 2 1/4" length and width, with approximately 3/4" height. The back shows Schreiner's meticulous reinforced construction, with some traces of reinforcing glue visible at the back corners (not visible from front). All stones are present and individually prong-set; condition is excellent. Truly a rare piece for the collector of top-notch Schreiner!
