This beautiful silver plated candleholder is marked with a menorah on its base. The Encyclopedia of American Silver Manufacturers shows this as a mark of the Ellis-Barker Silver Companies with the mark being used after 1912. The silver plating has beautiful patina. The glass globe may not be original to the piece. The base has beautiful leaf and grape motifs. The piece is heavily weighted to reduce the risk of tipping over. You could use this with or without a globe / lamp as a candlestick. The interior section that holds the candle measures 7/8" in diameter. The outer section accommodates a 1-5/8" globe / lamp base (which appears to be a fairly common size if you want to replace the current globe). The base measures 4-5/8" in diameter. The candlestick portion is 5-1/2" high and with the glass globe is almost 10". The current globe doesn't seat well in the base but this appears to be due to the glass as the candlestick section appears symmetrical.
