An original early 20th c bronze by the Austrian sculptor, Bruno Zach (1891-1935). She has all the charming characteristics of a "Bruno Zach Girl," including the curled hair and the familiar face. She wears a short dress and dangling bracelets on each wrist. The girl makes a leap forward with her long, elegant legs, and places her right hand on her raised knee. Zach was able to portray motion in her limbs and through the creases in her dress. Finely detailed throughout, especially to her face and hair. The bronze retains the original gilt patina. Signed in the bronze "ZACH" and "Made in Austria." Guaranteed to be an original bronze by Bruno Zach. She is an absolute beauty!
Condition: The bronze is in excellent condition with no damages or repairs. The original gilt patina looks wonderful! The marble base is a later replacement and is chipped to the side.
Measurements: Total of 6 in high x 5 in diameter across the base (15 cm x 12.5 cm). The bronze alone is 5 in high x 3 3/4 in wide (13 cm x 9.5 cm).
