A slightly domed 1-1/8" disc of pea-green Bakelite is set in a silver-tone pendant with a double row of twisted rope with little loops around the bezel setting. Two embellishments of ovals with Egyptian hieroglyphic figures are positioned on each side, with two curving accents on the top and bottom. The pendant is suspended from a small twisted rope bail and attached to both sides of a silver-tone chain.
The chain is 15" long with the old-fashioned spring ring clasp with no "ears". The pendant itself is 2-1/2" in diameter.
The disc tests for Bakelite using Simichrome.
This unusual necklace is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks to the Bakelite, the plating intact and the clasp working correctly.
