Deep purple navettes in several sizes, smaller pastel pink navettes and chatons and fuchsia pink chatons make up this wonderful D&E butterfly that is totally outlined in small purple chatons. As with many of their designs, all of the rhinestones are prong-set in bright gold-tone plating.
The butterfly has a wingspan of 4-3/8" and is about 2-5/8" long. The larger wings are slightly domed rather than flat.
On the back you can see figure 8 puddling, the hooked connector pieces they used in so many of their figurals and it has looped antenna, another D&E indicator.
The butterfly is in excellent vintage condition with all rhinestones sparkling, plating intact and the pin working correctly.
It was photographed for the book, "Juliana Jewelry - The Last Generation" by Paula Knutson and Karla Wacker and is shown on page 108.
