In the mid-1950's Frank and Regine Juhls started creating sterling silver jewelry that was influenced by the local Sami and Lapp tribes of Norway.
This simple and elegant brooch is 1-1/2" long x 1-3/8" wide and has an articulated, movable ring attached to the front, similar to a doorknocker.
It weighs 10.4 grams.
The brooch is in excellent condition with no scratches.
I polished it a little but it could be left alone or even polished to a shinier finish.
In researching the Juhls company jewelry, I found more contemporary pieces in the same design but which have a more raised look on the radiating "arms".
