This vibrant D&E domed brooch has two tiers, the bottom tier having blue iridescent molded stones, sometimes called "Lava" that sparkle pink, blue and lavender. It is accented by four groupings of three light blue chatons and four large pink chatons infused with blue that makes them look lavender when viewed at certain angles. Each smooth-topped cabochon has a faceted back that looks like a flower when viewed up close. The top tier has four iridescent molded stones and four chatons, positioned around one of the pink-blue cabochons.
The matching clip earrings have the same iridescent navettes, light blue chatons and pink-blue cabochons.
As with a lot of D&E jewelry, all of the stones are prong-set, this time in bright silver-tone.
The pinwheel style brooch is 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" x 1/2" deep. The earrings are 1" x 1".
On the backs of all of the pieces you can see what I have named "figure 8 puddling" - the D&E 3-part cup groupings.
All of the pieces are in excellent vintage condition with all rhinestones sparkling, plating intact and the clips and pin mechanism working correctly. The silver-tone plating of the brooch is slightly brighter than the earrings. (The black specks on the earrings' pink cabochons are camera reflections.)
