This is a wonderful early embossed Halloween postcard done by ML Jackson (as noted by the lion head on the top left corner on the back, and the name in the center back under the words Post Card) from their Halloween Don'ts series. This one features a witch flying by the moon on her hobby horse broom, over a field of haystacks, one with a white cat on it, a witch at the top and a poem in the center. The card was mailed in 1911, and the person who wrote on the back, Frances, deserves a neat penmanship award! It is in good condition with some light edge and corner wear, some of the cancelling stamp showing through on the bottom left and great color and detail. Fabulous subject matter on this delightful old card!
