This scarce embossed postcard is a Samuel Schmucker illustration for John Winsch, who copyrighted it in 1912, per the info on the left front bottom. Schmucker is known for these lovely illustrations with women on the old holiday postcards, and his wife was the inspiration for them. It was never mailed, so it is in very good condition with minor wear, writing in pencil on the back and is marked Printed in Germany on the back. There are two light spots on the bottom left front. Winsch cards were typically more expensive since they were done in Germany, and considered the higher end postcards of their time during the Golden Age of Postcards.
This postcard will be sent in a rigid sleeve.
