What a find from a local estate in Central Pennsylvania. This is a Duke University felt pennant. The Duke is a heavy white stenciled paint and the white stripe down the side is felt stitched to the pennant. There are four felt strips attached to the base of the pennant. The strips were used to tie to a wood stick to the pennant and then wave in a sporting event such as football. The pennant is old and does have a few holes. Take a moment and review the pictures. Remember you can zoom in if you would like a closer look. The pennant is 8 inches long and the 4 felt strips are about 3 inches. The base of the pennant is 3 ½ inches. The pennant can be displayed as is but would look very nice professionally framed.
