This is a neat vintage cast metal bank with bronze clad finish in the shape of a Continental Army drum with the top made to look like a Fugio coin, the USA Seal with 1776 - 1976 on one side, the flat and powder horns on two sides and the Liberty Bell on the last side. It is also a music box, which plays Yankee Doodle and it works fine. It has 3 feet on the underside with rubber covers to protect your surfaces, and it retains its original label on the underside as well. The slot for the coins is also on the underside and I believe you would have to unscrew it to get it open if you needed to remove coins. It is currently empty. It is a nice heavy well made piece that was probably issued for the Bicentennial in 1976. What makes it a little more unusual, though, is that its also a music box, since this bank is more common without that musical feature. Its 3 & 3/4 inches high and a bit over 3 & 3/4 inches in diameter across the top. It is in very good condition with no damage and minor wear to the bronze clad finish. A nice piece for a patriotic themed room or display!
Please see the photos as they show the condition and detail well.
