This is a nice piece of early beer advertising from the Horlacher Brewing Co of Allentown, PA. It is a postcard, dated and mailed in 1909, advertising for the print that Horlachers produced and marketed a a premium that year titled Making the Emblem of Personal Liberty, with Betsy Ross seated in her home in Philadelphia making the very first American flag. The print was done from the painting they owned, and the card was then mailed to one of their customers, the Commonwealth Club in Harrisburg, PA, marketing the print and explaining how to get one. If you are a lucky owner of one of the prints, this postcard would be great to frame and have hung next to it. It is in good condition with some light wear an corner bumps.
