This charming handcrafted foil, paper and die cut scrap is in the shape of a star with a red ribbon for hanging. There is another star layer in the center and then some flowers. The edges of the red star are enhanced with more gold foil and there is paper backing on the back. It is in its original cellophane package telling us how it was made and was purchased years ago in the late 1980s/early 1990s at Christmas shows, where items like this could be found. Years ago, I used ornaments such as this one to fill out trees that needed more ornaments like it because the very old ones from the 1800s were so hard to find back then (before the internet made it a bit easier). This one doesn't look as if we ever hung it, as its still in its original package with the paper insert with info from the craftsperson who made it, which is interesting to read since they tell what type of materials they were using. It measures 5 & 1/4 by 5 & 3/8 inches and would be about 2 inches longer with the red ribbon at the top. Please see the photos, which also include a shot of the paper insert.
