This is a lovely vintage tin from the 1940s to 1950 era from W & M Duncan Ltd of Edinburgh, Scotland. It was originally filled with an assortment of their chocolates, but is now empty. It has a hanged lid which is firmly attached and works fine. It is marked Container Made in GT Britain on the side and features great graphics with the tartan plaid, a vignette of Edinburgh Castle and of course, they yummy chocolates are pictured on a lace doily. It is in good condition with bright colors and graphics. There is some light wear on the lid, and on the sides where the lid would rub as it was opened and closed, a ding on a bottom corner and a few light dings on the underside, but the pictures do show the condition well, which is pretty good for the age of this tin. This is one of those tins that really catches the eye when displayed and would look great in a Christmas display as well.
