This is a quite a unique group of c1880s litho ad trade cards. The The two larges measure about 3 by 4.5 inches and one features a Chinese boy smoking an opium pipe. It is advertising celluloid waterproof collars and is stamped on the back by a Lancaster, PA clothing store. it is in good condition, but has some writing on the back and 3 numbers on the front, with minor age/use wear - interesting subject matter, so say the least, here, if not a bit shocking. There is one featuring a Geisha girl from another Lancaster, PA establishment and advertising teams, coffees and groceries. It is in very good condition, with corner bumps at the bottom. Finally, the smallest one is 2 & 3/8 by 3 & 5/8 inches and it features two little Chinese boys playing a game that looks like fencing, yet butterflies and fans are involved. It is in good condition, but has writing on the back, looks as if it was previously glued to something and has a corner bend. It advertises a Lancaster, PA grocery store. Definitely not your run of the mill ad cards here, and certainly stereotypical material that would not be appropriate today.
