This is a really neat c1880s Victorian adverting trade card from the Chicago Corset Company that features Adelina Patti, the famous opera singer, doing a testimonial for Ball's Corsets. Apparently, she liked them so much, she ordered 8 of them prior to her return to Europe, per the letter she wrote to them which is printed on the back of the card. This ad card was distributed by a dry goods store in Lancaster, PA. It is in good condition, but has evidence of paste on the edges, probably being in a scrap book. Otherwise, it is in good condition, with a mark on the top left front. It measures 4 & 5/8 inches by 3 & 1/8 inches.
